坚持到底的最佳实例可能就是亚伯拉罕·林肯。如果你想知道有谁从未放弃，那就不必再寻寻觅觅了。生下来就一贫如洗的.林肯，终其一生都在面对挫败，8次竞选8次落败，两次经商失败，甚至还精神崩溃过一次。
好多次，他本可以放弃，但他并没有如此，也正因为他没有放弃，才成为美国历史上最伟大的总统之一。
林肯天下无敌，而且他从不放弃。
以下是林肯进驻白宫前的简历：
18，家人被赶出了居住的地方，他必须工作以抚养他们;
18，母亲去世;
1831年，经商失败;
1832年，竞选州议员但落选;
1832年，工作也丢了，想就读法学院，但进不去;
1833年，向朋友借钱经商，但年底就破产了，接下来，他花了16年，才把债还清;
1834年，再次竞选州议员，赢了;
1835年，订婚后即将结婚时，末婚妻却死了，因此他的心也碎了;
